Review By Becky Hunter
Tommy Brandt ‘s latest CD, Acoustic Christmas is a wonderful addition to any country lover’s Christmas collection. This album is a great mix of traditional Christmas classics and modern Christmas songs in a Christian Country style, making this a well rounded album sure to stand the test of time.
Acoustic Christmas starts out with a lovely intertwining of fiddle and guitar on my personal favorite carol, Joy To The World. The second track, Three Wise Men and One Fool is a touching ballad of a man who fell asleep and dreamed that he was with the Wise Men when they first saw Jesus as a baby. The Family Tree paints a beautiful portrait of a close knit family that people long for this time a year.
Speaking of family, Tommy Brandt is joined by his son Tommy Brandt II on the ever popular Away In a Manger. If you are looking for a song that rocks out, Santa Claus Got Saved is the song for you.
I’m giving this Christmas album a 9 out of 10. This project is bound to be enjoyed for Many Christmases to come.
